# 147 Cullinan Park

This is a freshwater fishing location. Freshwater lake

Directions:  From the intersection of Hwy 6 and Voss, continue south on Hwy 6; .6 miles. The park entrance will be on your right.



 This 750 acre park is well known as a place to enjoy birding, fishing, hiking, picnicking, and other outdoor activities in the middle of a rapidly urbanizing area.
Fishing from one of the two piers will allow you plenty of room to enjoy

 It is a great park to visit for a picnic, some quiet fishing, birdwatching, a relaxing walk, or just some time off from the busy world that surrounds Cullinan Park.  Birders record their sightings daily at the park entrance. Alligators are present in the lake.

# 146 Eisenhower Park Pond

The park is open from 7am to 8pm
This is a freshwater fishing location. Freshwater pond and San Jacinto River tributary
This park is patrolled by the Harris County Sheriff’s Dept.

This 683 acre park has two spots you can fish from. The 3 acre freshwater pond is near the front of the park has plenty of bank fishing and picnic tables. This pond has been stocked with catfish every year since 2000. They will be full grown by now! This pond is also part of the TPWD trout stocking program. Trout are stocked several times each fall, be sure and check for the dates on the Texas Parks and Wildlife web site.   The back of the park offers bank fishing on a backwater section of the San Jacinto River called Big Eddy below the Lake Houston dam. There is also a place to put in canoes and kayaks here.

# 145 End of 8 Mile Galveston

There is not fee to enter or fish at this access.

This would be a saltwater destination. West Galveston Bay

Directions: From the intersection of 61 St and Seawall travel west 4 miles to 8 mile road. Turn right and continue 2.1 miles to the end of 8 mile road.

This location is on the west bay side of Galveston and may be a good choice when the weather is bad. There is limited bank access here for fishing.

For those of you who used to put in at Sportsman's This is a good alternative . Just a little further kayak paddle to get to the good spots!

Directions: From the intersection of I-45 and Loop 336 south, travel east on loop 336; 2.5 miles the park entrance will be on your right,


This 201 acre park is the largest park in the city of Conroe. The 3 acre freshwater lake is well maintained and stocked frequently. Plenty of bank fishing is available all around the lake. Catfish have been stocked here in 2012, 2013, and 2014. This lake is also part of the TPWD rainbow trout stocking program each year. Trout are stocked several times each fall, be sure and check for the dates on the Texas Parks and Wildlife web site.
Other Activities in this park include soccer and baseball fields, picnic tables,
Pavilions, restroom facilities, play structures and jogging/walking trails.
