The park is open from 7am to 8pm
This is a freshwater fishing location. Freshwater pond and
San Jacinto River tributary
This park is patrolled by the Harris County Sheriff’s Dept.
This 683 acre park has two spots you can fish from. The 3
acre freshwater pond is near the front of the park has plenty of bank fishing
and picnic tables. This pond has been stocked with catfish every year since
2000. They will be full grown by now! This pond is also part of the TPWD trout
stocking program. Trout are stocked several times each fall, be sure and check
for the dates on the Texas Parks and Wildlife web site. The back
of the park offers bank fishing on a backwater section of the San Jacinto River
called Big Eddy below the Lake Houston dam. There is also a place to put in
canoes and kayaks here.
