There is no fee required to enter or fish in this park.
This is a freshwater fishing location. Freshwater Lake
Directions: From the intersection of FM 529 and Katy Hockley
Cut Off travel north on Katy Hockley Cut off 2 miles and the park will be on
your left. There are entrances off Katy Hockley and Katy Hockley Cut Off roads.
This 232 acre park has a chain of lakes along the south side
of the park. No fees charged to fish here. There is very limited bank fishing
but two bridges along the trail offer a good place to fish from. There was a
lot of aquatic vegetation in the lakes when I was here. There are several piers
but they are used for bird observation and not set up for fishing.
Other activities at this park include, softball and little
league fields, dog park, nature trail picnic area and restroom facilities.
