This 683 acre park has two spots you can fish from. The 3 acre freshwater pond is near the front of the park has plenty of bank fishing and picnic tables. This pond has been stocked with catfish every year since 2000. They will be full grown by now! This pond is also part of the TPWD trout stocking program. Trout are stocked several times each fall, be sure and check for the dates on the Texas Parks and Wildlife web site.   The back of the park offers bank fishing on a backwater section of the San Jacinto River called Big Eddy below the Lake Houston dam. There is also a place to put in canoes and kayaks here.
