This is a freshwater fishing location. Freshwater Lake Stocked.
Directions: From the intersection of US 59 south and
University Blvd, travel east on University 1.4 miles to the park entrance on
your right.
The 25 acre freshwater lake is stocked with Florida Large Mouth
Bass, Bluegill and Catfish. Visitors may fish in the lake with a valid fishing
license. Consult your local tackle shop or Texas Parks and wildlife, for
license information and bag and size limits. Plenty of bank fishing is
available. This 420 acre park is part of an overall plan of a 1200 acre park.
Other activities in this park include, two and a half miles of 8-foot wide
granite gravel walking/jogging/biking trails, 2 picnic pavilions, restroom
buildings, parking areas, playground, dog park, mountain bike trail, and open
space for sports activities.
